The RURALED project has released a comprehensive set of training materials aimed at fostering the development of Smart Villages (SV) in rural areas. These resources are designed to strengthen the skills of local communities and administrators, helping them craft and implement strategies for sustainable growth using digital, technological, and social solutions.
The training modules, available online, are tailored for facilitators and local authorities, offering key insights into the concepts of Smart Villages, future literacy, community engagement, and action planning. Additionally, a toolkit has been developed for citizens to contribute ideas and strategies for promoting Smart Village initiatives in their communities.
Included in the toolkit are:
- A glossary of terms and best practices
- Self-assessment tests to evaluate skills related to Smart Village strategies
- An assessment to gauge the current implementation of Smart Village initiatives at the local level
These resources are now accessible on the project’s website TOOLS
